PolyNautTM MoA

Upon cellular internalisation, polyNautTM has a unique endosomal escape mechanism, with a cytosolic release efficiency of ~70% of the loaded compound.

Typically the pH driven dissolution of a 100 nm polyNautTM formed in 100 mM PBS corresponds to a transition from 1 particle to about 300k particles (copolymers + loaded compound and salt) corresponding to 1.5 KPaµm-3 of osmotic pressure.

This allows for the release of drugs, proteins, peptides, nucleic acids and even small nanoparticles in the cell with minimal effect on their metabolic activity.
